Maude Apatow’s character Lexi Howard starts out as Rue’s childhood best friend in Euphoria’s first season, but in season two, she becomes a more prominent character.

With the show’s evolution, the costume design for Lexi’s character also takes a step up, becoming more elevated, preppy, and fashion-forward. While season one’s wardrobe aimed for realism, season two’s focus shifted to more creative and bold looks.

For Lexi, this meant a lot of Miu Miu. Although these pieces are way out of an average high schooler’s budget in the context of the show, they work because they remain true to the character’s personality. Miu Miu has a coquettish and creative reputation, and Lexi is similarly seen as more innocent and quirky.

The Euphoria costume department famously uses fashion to convey each character’s state of mind. Lexi’s wardrobe perfectly reflects her subdued yet chic style, featuring classic preppy elements like peter pan collars, ribbons, and argyle which all reference her intellectualism.
